Since you know that camera preamps tend to be noisy, the Blink 500 Pro RX's primary 3.5mm output delivers a variable mic-level signal, so you will not need to turn the gain on your camera. With its own 3.5mm headphone jack, the Blink 500 Pro RX can drive headphones in addition to feeding monitors for instant monitoring and troubleshooting.

The receiver has a switchable mono/stereo output mode so that it can properly feed signal from a single transmitter into both input channels of your device (through mono mode) or from two transmitters into two different input channels of your device (through stereo mode).

Ideal for 1- or 2-Person Shoots

As the Blink 500 Pro RX is a dual-channel receiver, it is able to deal with two Blink 500 Pro TX wireless transmitters simultaneously (second transmitter sold separately). In case you want to go over that, you can have a maximum of 18 Blink 500 Pro systems at the same time to deal with up to 36 wireless microphones.

Integrated Microphone for Genuine Wireless Performance

Blink 500 Pro TX incorporates an integrated miniature condenser microphone with an omnidirectional pickup pattern for recording clear and natural voice quality. Due to the ultra-compact housing of the transmitter, you can attach it to clothing, stick it in a shirt pocket, put it on a podium, or hold it in your hand. In comparison to the internal mic in the stock Blink 500 TX, the internal mic of the Pro has increased sensitivity to output a greater signal level.

The 3.5mm input of the transmitter can take in mic- or line-line signals and is fully equipped to support a range of external sources like a lavalier mic or an audio output from a mixer or receiver.

Lavalier Microphone Included

For ultimate visual discretion, utilize the Blink 500 Pro TX as a standard bodypack transmitter with the included lavalier microphone. Simply attach the omni lav mic to a collar or lapel and plug it into the 3.5mm input on the transmitter; the transmitter will automatically switch to the external mic so you won't have to go through the trouble of choosing the input source.

The lavalier mic features a foam windscreen that reduces noise due to gentle wind, breathing, and air conditioning. To further reduce louder wind noise, a furry windshield (a.k.a. windjammer), available separately, like the Saramonic LM-WS, can be installed on the microphone.

Stable and Simple 2.4 GHz Digital Wireless

While conventional analog wireless systems are prone to interference from television and radio wave signals, the Blink 500 Pro digital system does not experience that as it uses the 2.4 GHz range, which takes up frequencies higher than those of television, radio broadcasts, and UHF wireless microphone systems.

In the 2.4 GHz band, the Blink 500 Pro features automatic channel-hopping to counteract noise and dropouts at a line-of-sight range of up to 328 feet, twice the maximum range of the original Blink 500. For best performance, environments with low Wi -Fi / 2.4 GHz traffic and few physical obstructions are ideal.
