Milesight WS202 is a wireless, high-performance PIR (Passive Infrared) motion sensor designed for secure, efficient, and flexible occupancy detection in today's smart environments. Based on LoRaWAN® technology, this battery-powered motion sensor provides long-range communication with ultra-low power consumption, which makes it suitable for applications where wired solutions are not feasible.

Accurate and versatile, the WS202 uses motion detection to sense infrared radiation changes, with a coverage area of up to 8 meters and a broad 120° field of view. It has an intelligent detection algorithm that reduces false alarms by eliminating non-human movement due to environmental influences like HVAC airflow, light flicker, or slight heat changes. This provides consistent performance in dynamic indoor environments.

Working on LoRaWAN® Class A protocol at 868MHz/915MHz frequencies (region-specific), the WS202 easily sends motion information to central management systems or IoT networks. This makes it perfect for smart building automation, energy management, and occupancy insights. Featuring a replaceable 3.6V lithium battery, the unit provides a stunning battery life of up to 5 years, lowering maintenance costs and downtime.

The WS202 comes with tamper detection and reporting of battery status, enabling the facility manager to ensure system integrity and schedule proactive replacements. It has a minimalist, compact construction with adhesive or screw mounting designs for easy setup, whether it is permanent installation or temporary deployments. The sensor functions consistently from -20°C to 60°C and in humidity up to 95% RH (non-condensing) and is accordingly suitable for multiple indoor applications.

In addition to further improve performance, the users can tailor sensitivity levels and reporting intervals as per individual requirements, like less frequent reporting during low-traffic locations to preserve battery life. The product is CE, FCC, and RoHS certified for adherence to international quality and safety standards.
