Lavalier Microphone Included

For ultimate visual discretion, employ the Blink 500 TX as a conventional bodypack transmitter with the included lavalier microphone. Simply attach the omni lav mic to a lapel or collar, and connect it to the transmitter's 3.5mm input; the transmitter will automatically switch to external microphone so you don't have to take the hassle of choosing the input source.

The lavalier mic comes with a foam windscreen that reduces noise due to light wind, breaths, and air conditioning units. For further reduction of more powerful wind noise, a separately purchased furry windshield (a.k.a. windjammer) like the Saramonic LM-WS can be mounted on the microphone.

Stable and Simple 2.4 GHz Digital Wireless

Whereas conventional analog wireless systems are prone to interference by TV and radio waves, the Blink 500 digital system steers clear of that by operating at the 2.4 GHz band, which takes up frequencies higher than those of TV, radio broadcasting, and UHF wireless microphone systems.

In the 2.4 GHz band, Blink 500 has automatic channel hopping to reduce noise and dropouts at a line-of-sight range of 164 feet. For best performance, settings with low Wi-Fi / 2.4 GHz traffic and little physical interference are ideal.
