Understand that camera preamps tend to be noisy. the Blink 500 RX's 3.5mm output delivers a clean line-level signal so you won't need to turn the gain up at your camera. If your camera includes a mic-level input, make sure to reduce its input gain to avoid clipping. The Blink 500 RX can even drive headphones for fast monitor checks and troubleshooting.

Ideal for 1- or 2-Person Shoots

As the Blink 500 RX is a dual-channel receiver, it can accept two Blink 500 TX wireless transmitters (second transmitter sold separately) at the same time. If you must go beyond that, you can utilize up to 18 Blink 500 systems simultaneously to support up to 36 wireless microphones.

One dual-channel receiver and a maximum of two transmitters can be included in each Blink 500 system. Use camera-mount (Blink 500 RX), Lightning (Blink 500 RXDi), or USB Type-C (Blink 500 RXUC) receivers.

Built-In Microphone for True Wireless Operation

Blink 500 TX comes with an integrated miniature condenser microphone that has an omnidirectional pickup pattern and delivers a clear and natural voice tone. With the transmitter housing being ultracompact, you can attach it to clothing, insert it into a shirt pocket, put it on a podium, or hold it in hand.

Lavalier Microphone Included

For ultimate visual stealth, employ the Blink 500 TX as a conventional bodypack transmitter with the included lavalier microphone. Simply attach the Omni lav mic to a lapel or collar, then connect it to the transmitter's 3.5mm input; the transmitter will automatically switch to the external mic so you won't have to go through the trouble of choosing the input source.

The lavalier mic has a foam windscreen that reduces noise generated by light wind, breaths, and air conditioning units. To further reduce more powerful wind noise, an independently purchased furry windshield (also known as windjammer) like the Saramonic LM-WS can be attached to the microphone.

Solid and Easy-to-use 2.4 GHz Digital Wireless

While standard analog wireless systems are prone to interference from radio and TV waves, the Blink 500 digital system is immune to that because it works in the 2.4 GHz band, which uses frequencies above those of TV, radio broadcasts, and UHF wireless mic systems.

In the 2.4 GHz range, the Blink 500 has automatic channel-hopping to reduce noise and dropouts at a line-of-sight range of up to 164 feet. For best performance, settings with low Wi -Fi / 2.4 GHz traffic and few physical obstructions are ideal.
