The MKE 600 can be powered in two ways:

• 48V phantom power via its 3-pin XLR output

• A single AA battery for up to 150 hours of run time

A built-in power switch prevents unnecessary battery drain, and a red LED indicator lets you know when power is running low. This dual-power capability ensures compatibility with camcorders, DSLR/mirrorless cameras, audio recorders, and field mixers.

Lightweight, Durable Design for Field Work

Built with a rugged metal housing, the MKE 600 is lightweight yet sturdy enough for regular use in the field. The included shoe shockmount allows for easy mounting to a camera or tripod. The blimp basket accommodates shotgun microphones up to 11 inches long and 0.7 to 0.9 inches in diameter, making it a perfect fit for the MKE 600. Inside, a short 90° RF-shielded XLR cable helps prevent interference from nearby electronics or wireless systems.

A windjammer (furry cover) is included to shield the mic from strong wind gusts, making this system ideal for outdoor shoots. A pistol-grip handle with a ratcheting angle adjustment is also part of the kit, offering comfortable handheld use or easy mounting to a boom pole.
