Libec ALX Camera Slider Overview

The Libec ALX S8 is a 32.6" long camera slider with an integrated 75mm ball base with a flat bottom, enabling it to be mounted directly onto 75mm bowl fluid heads and flat-base heads. When mounted on tabletop or flat surface using, the slider has a maximum load of 33 lb. For smooth and wobble-free use, the carriage has eight roller bearings placed on the rail top and along the sides at angles. A spring-loaded friction knob enables you to adjust slide tension, while a brake knob will lock the carriage at any position on the rails. Using a provided hexagon wrench, you can set the pushing force that the ball bearing applies to the rail.

There are 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threads and a rosette at each end of the slider to attach accessories. If you plan to use the slider on the tabletop or floor, the slider has built-in legs with adjustable feet for uneven terrain. The legs fold up against the side of the slider for storage space and stay in place with thumb knobs. Removing the knobs entirely enables you to remove the legs entirely and replace the 32.6" rail with separately purchaseable 15.5" or 47" rail lengths.
